So, with Fire Emblem 14 announced, what are some features you guys want to see? Whether they be returning features from past games, or entirely new features. Personally, I just want a world map. :V

  • I agree with Charlotte that would be awesome! Maybe let us recruit characters in villages again, maybe it was just me but I always found that charming!

  • Which reminds me,different ways to recruit people! Not just "hey I'll join you" or let Chrom speak with that person. It was nice when other charactes could recruit people or some more difficult ways to get some characters.

  • I had a Look and All I found was the Superior Jolt which was introduced in awakening (Just like the other superior weapons) which gave you that type of weapon breaker.

  • Laurent wonders where he came from in Shadow in the Sands(His paralogue).

  • @Charlotte: If Kamui and the dancer are both lords, then it would be cool if we got a choice to follow either one. ^^ I'm also fine with other characters recruiting other characters, but I'm just afraid the game won't tell us who to use... (like in FE7 where you have to get Nils to Lv. 7 in his recruitment chapter to unlock a bonus chapter...) >.<

  • I usually look stuff like that up. Might be difficult if it's released everywhere at the same time but then I'll just play it blindly and leave stuff like that for another playthrough. Since it looks to be a roman vs. japanese style war going on, wouldn't it be awesome if you could pick side? Say you go with the japaneselooking one, then the roman ones would be the bad guys and vice versa!

  • @Charlotte: Like, both lords of Roman and Japan are trying to recruit you at the same time, and you get to choose which one you'll side with. That would be cool, and would give the game replay value!

  • Also, like I said on Rebecca's post, a Griffon Rider line. And a Dancer/Bard line.

  • @Ewan: I think in previous titles Bards promoted to Sages. Maybe bring that back?

  • Yeah, that would be good.

  • - Many things you already said like different objectives etc. - decisions really matter (not just the last one) - different ways to do things like recruiting somebody - support-system back but with more diversed supports - more characters play a role in the story

  • Pretty sure the dancerlike bard never promoted (like Elphin in FE6) but Lewyn from FE4 was a bard that basically was a mage, he's the one who became a sage. So a more dancerlike bard probably wouldn't promote to a sage. I wouldn't be against it though!

  • Mostly, you already said it. Light Magic back (Aureola was AWESOME in GBA version, I'd like to see more) and Magic triangle; I'd like to see NPC who are more difficult to spot amongst others for recruitment (not just "look at teh one with le different portrait") and with more different conditions for recruitment like in older FE games; Route option might be nice, considering that the cutscene with

  • Swordmaster happens inside a painting/frame, so I assume it depicts even of the past, maybe it's playable, but I would even be happy with a more choice-related path: by my choice, some character may have to die in cutscenes, some might or might not be recruited. Also, since Paul named Nils, I want the bard class back. But this is almost a dead hope...

  • @Charlotte: What if Dancers/Bards promote into Performers? @Angel: Seems interesting, cutscene deaths. But it might also be annoying if you mostly used them...

  • I've only played FE GBA and FE Awakening, so I only know bards and light magic from GBA.

  • Good idea, when they become performers it could be a good idea for them to gain the ability, although OP, to dance/play four adjacent units like Sylvia/Leen can in FE4!

  • @Charlotte That would be cool, OP but still feasible if Galeforce is removed (thing I HOPE, having +1 turn was a BIG vantage...), also they could limit the ability by making the dancer skip a turn, or maybe the could only grant a 1 Unit-dance + Area small stats "rally" as the new Performer skill. @Paul True... Maybe the could offer a choice between two units, you'd still lose one. Or NPC death...

  • What I thought of is at the end If the Character was married (E.G.Serra and Matthew just pulled the first names I could think of) they could show a pic the couple at their wedding, or a pic of the wife pregnant and If they were dead before the end, a gravestone could be shown and where the character died(e.g. Ricken died at Border Wastes) add a bit of depth.

  • @Charlotte: That would be really cool! =o Though, I guess the performer would have to be a bit weak, just so it doesn't become gamebreaking (if it already isn't gamebreaking...) @Litte Mac: That sounds pretty cool, tough they'd have to make a lot of graphics to include every single possible pairing... :/
