I don't know about trumpets, but it sounds like quite a few songs in this games, especially the trainer battle theme, were done on strings! I think it sounds really cool!

    @Nicholas Yeah, I did realise that! ...after I posted this and went through the playlist on UTube! I never really minded the trumpets to be honest. Some of the Route themes sound really cool like that!
