    No, don't do the actual trade through GTS. What you do is put up a lame pokemon on GTS and ask for something that the other person has. Then they'll find it, trade, and be registered as an acquaintance. From there you can do the actual trade. In this case, put up something like a marill and ask for a shuppet. Have the message say "For Jessi" or something :)
