Not a lot of people understand that the reason people asked for ridiculous Pokémon on the GTS is so they could clone it using a certain method. The method requires that you send the Pokémon on GTS and retrieve it later on after doing some handy work on your 3DS SD card on the computer, but you can't have someone take the Pokémon you want to clone while you're doing all that, so they ask for

  • impossible things that know one would trade for. I believe this was patched, though. It might be, don't take my word on it.

  • i found a way to clone too, i think. Step 1: Deposit a pokemon on gts. Step 2: Retrieve it. Step 3: Turn off 3ds before the retrieval is over. Step 4: My pokemon was in my PC, but when i checked gts, it was still up!

  • That, or they show off some of their shinies and rare Pokemon. As if to say, "neener neener, you can't have it!"

  • Pretty much. Though I admit, sometimes I would love spending time on GTS seeing what some shiny Pokémon look like. It was like a shiny museum.
