Do you ever wonder if amiibo (in terms of collector's value) will go the way Beanie Babies?

  • I'm just saying, current amiibo are produced in such high quantities that, unless over REEEAAALLY long time periods, I'm not sure that they'll gather value lol that. Plus, there aren't any ultra-rare limited-edition figures that would be worth a ton to begin with. I think of it as collecting Pokémon cards that are cool, but everyone has one.

  • …and for those unaware of the reference, Beanie Babies were highly sought-after in the late 90s because everyone thought they were going to be worth small fortunes eventually, and they weren't. Not trying to diss amiibo collectors, just throwing out a thought, especially after all of the Marth-out-of-stock bruhaha.
