This game uses spatial depth in a really engaging way. This segment of stage 1-4 acts as a kind of tutorial to help you understand the spatial relationship of the most common in-game obstacle on z. Presenting a novel idea in a controlled scenario as a tutorial is expected, but it also instills a sense of danger by making you move past a Gordo relatively close to the interactive plane.
