So I was playing Pokemon Y the other day, and I encountered a weirdly colored Dedenne. I think sparks flew off it too. I thought it was a glitch so I ran away. Is this normal?

    No. You shouldn't have run away. It's a shiny pokemon. They are very rare. That might've been your only chance to get a shiny pokemon ever.

    Weird. The same thing happened to me just yesterday. I killed it and ran far away. (This is actually a true story. I may or may not have said some things that shan't be repeated on the 'Verse.)
