Back in the leaf green/fire red era, me and my friends thought that if you chose a starter pokemon that corresponded with the pokemon on the cover of the game( choosing Charizard in fire red and Venasaur in leaf green), that pokemon would become overpowered and get new moves.Yup, we were smart kids.
