    Only 24? You gotta get more light under your belt if you even want to try VoG... Try vanguard tiger and grind engrams for rare and strange coins. If you build up enough, you can also get some exotic gear from xur.

    I tried doing some Strikes and have had some success. Plus, I'm already half way to LV. 25. I never really would talk to many NPC's until now.

    Also, try aligning with a faction and wearing their cloak/mark/bond. It's easier to level up a faction than the vanguard/crucible alone, which then gives you access to legendary gear faster. I'm currently grinding for my last chest piece right now with the FWC.

    Ships don't do cr@p. Doing bounties on the other hand can yield exotic bounties though...
