    normally, you can't, but when the games loading, press and hold 2 on the wiimote. then, in the gamepad menu, change it to player two. then, make a helper. you can control it with the gamepad. by the way, make sure you change the control scheme to an optimal scheme on the wiimote.

    when the game is booting up, press and hold 2 on the wiimote. then, in the virtual console menu on the wii u gamepad, change it's player number to two.
