    The most common explanations I hear are either that A) They're an advanced flying mechanism designed by the Azran that Descole was all "hey man let's use these," or B) Randall has wings because he is Randall. Either way, stillllll kinda wishing that they gave an actual explanation.

    Seems likely, yeah. Plus, it's already been previously established that Descole will go to great lengths in order to achieve his goals; he is quite the manipulator, and I doubt that bribing would be off the table for him, either.
