You can't just jump, and this isn't a complaint about characters, this is about players standing on the side of the stage spamming Link's arrow or something.

if the game allows players to do it, it's legit not very funny i understand that, but not unfair. it's like if you were boxing on a ring, and say to the referee ' he is only hitting me in the face!' if it's working, it's normal for spammers to keep doing it so my opinion, take that chance to learn dodging better or quit the match, nothing forces you to play against that type of players

It's not a legitimate strategy, it's annoying. That's all there is to it.

Yeah, run, sheild, run, repeat. You block them and get a free sheild grab.

B, b, b, b, b, b, b, b, b, b, b... It's not as easy as it sounds when it's an ENDLESS BARRAGE.

So as i just say earlier, quit the match. I think you guys need to see what are strategies in opposition games, like starcraft, street fighter 2, left for dead 2,etc you can play fair, that's a fact. but if playing dirty is more effective, why stop? plus, playing fair is often reserved to games where opponents are equally balanced.

take a match like Ness vs LittleMac: LM is a fast character with great punches, every hit makes the opponent fly away, he is great to deal quickly massive percents of damage; but he is extraordinary poor in the air. Ness has fast moves to but not as fast as LM's moves, so ness has no interest to come punch LM in the face because he 'd be in danger. Ness has various projectiles to keep LM at...

...distance. plus few smashes and grabs to make fly away LM from the stage. So the strategies of each characters are: LittleMac> He needs to reduce the distance between him and ness, to punch hard, chase ness to not let him the chance to do a single projectile and avoid it and every grab ness could do.

Ness> he has to avoid contact and run away from mac. he needs space and time to launch projectiles to keep LM under a fire of thunderballs. at last, he has to do a grab or a baseball smash to project his opponent away from the stage, and when tis one tries to come back, keep him away with a pkthunder.

what i want to demonstrate is that's not fair to LM, having so much troubles with projectiles. but Ness is barely effective at close combat against LM and that's not fair too. every characters have to make strategies to compensate their lacks. so yes, playing dirty and spamming projectiles is part of the game, as not letting his opponent breathing between every slashes or punches.

the ONLY way to have a "fair" match is mirror-matching. and believe me that's not really fun. or try chess [^~ ^]

Ness' projectiles are either short range or really slow. Playing dirty isn't a strategy, it's an annoyance.

What you just explained was strategy... and if that's the case, why does Link have to use nothing but his boomerang and arrows against Kirby? Kirby isn't very strong, and has a hard time with defense (seeing as he's a light weight character)... plus to make things worse, he only has one projectile, the Up B, which does nothing for blocking, and nothing for meteor on ΩForm stages.

if that's all you can repeat, i'm leaving you whining about the mean players who beat you with such unfair methods... i hope i won't meet you on that game

Well, an Arrow Spamer can easily be countred by Kirby, because if they truely spam, then you can easily get free Down-airs or Down B. If they use Up-Smaah or something, you can out-monuver them with beater timing of jumps or an angled Up-B.

Spamming is super predictable. Only noobs spam trust me xD. On for glory I dont worry about spam. Just remember that most spammers go to the edge of the stage so when they go to roll back make sure u get them while there open.

You can literally perfect shield Link's projectiles. Jump over or dodge Ness's. Jump over Duck Hunt's or run under. OR Use Fox, Falco, Killager, or Rosalina & Luma. Or just get better at the game. Kirby can couch under projectiles... LOL.
