[ Splatoon: Hero Mode, Multiplayer & More ] - Aiming for roughly simultaneous Worldwide launch. - Exp Points ensure you'll be matched with those of similar rank. - No 'direct' communication with random players (no info on Friend only matches) - Money can only be earned in Multi to avoid people grinding money in Solo, thus being overpowered in first online match. * Lots more in top comments

  • so by that logic, they can do whatever they want with Flipnote Studio 3D and you shouldn't have complained for years for them to release it? Nintendo can do whatever it wants with Splatoon & Flipnote but their foolhardy obsession with their child friendly image is what weakens their online feature sets and gets Flipnote delayed in the first place.

  • As was my philosophy with DLC, let's just try not to argue, try not to have too many expectations, and if something cool comes along (like voice chat), be pleasantly surprised and thankful about it.

  • @Ricky, this kind of goes beyond the Swapnote thing because people could send pictures through it. With voice chat, there's still as much anonymity as there is on Miiverse. By that logic, "Friend Only" voice chat seems like a decent compromise.

  • @Folkloner, Flipnote was a different story, they didn't told us anything throughout 2 years, and now its back on their minds, look Folkloner I don't want to argue with you, I'm just saying we shouldnt be quick to assume, also What if everyone on miiverse would say to you "You should do it how we want it" "Don't do your events or be in charge, you have to listen to us". See where I'm getting at?

  • My group was formed to convince nintendo to release it outside japan, "OR" if that didn't work then for them to tell us why. Folkloner, I've been leader with my group since Miiverse started. But you know what, I'm "Grateful" that nintendo is bringing Flipnote Studio 3D outside japan because it seemed like they ignored us, sure it doesnt have all features and its club nintendo only--

  • @jery but nobody is, because he has a relatively much smaller audience who likes what he does. again, no disrespect, but you were sort of comparing a golf ball to a watermelon (apples to oranges is clichéd, so...)

  • but it couldve been cancelled or japan only, just like Splatoon. Will one feature ruin everything you liked about Splatoon? You told me once that we can't assume things without enough evidence. 'Direct' could mean alot of things, but immediately jumping a conclusion that they cut out voice seems hasty. I meant no disrespect to you or other's opinion Folkloner. I'm just tired that most people--

  • would rather argue and complain about video games then actually play it. Again I meant no disrespect to you or other's opinion. I really never wanted to be in arguments like this, especially with you. That's all I have to say. Also vertified user RandyFreer told me to send his regards to you.

  • I mean how are we setting an example to others when we complain for one feature.

  • say: a map where you have to control two places. 4 v 4 and no in-game communication, everyone will go in the same place, leaving uncovered the other. no strategy at all!!! no plan at all!! just random. really? are you really going to not fix this??

A standard feature since like, 5 years ago. So, yeah. An emphasis on teamwork with no way to communicate with the team is kinda ridiculous. It's like a band with no conductor or drummer. Only 1/5 times is it going to amount to anything. That said, I still rarely use it, but it makes sense that people are freaking out.

  • @Ben, actually it's been a standard feature since the 90s. Before XBL made voice chat a standard on consoles PC gamers were chatting with each other over the internet as far back as 1994. By 98 over 70% of online PC gamers were using a voice chat app, either in game or third party app, to communicate online.

  • By the by, I don't use voice chat either. I only use it with close friends. But, in this day and age, I do like, and expect, the option.
