No Man's Sky looks really fun, but really ambitious. It could easily be the definition of what this new generation can bring but it could also be a boring, uninteresting game. I guess we'll find out soon.

  • Looking forward to seeing more of that, definitely intrigued by the concept. Still surprises me the tiny team that made Joe Danger is behind it as well, couldn't be any more different!

  • Yeah, that is really strange. One reason I'm slightly skeptical. There are a lot of time sinker games coming out this year along with No Man's Sky. Metal Gear Solid 5, Batman Arkham Knights, The Witcher 3, Zelda U Xenoblade Chronicles X, Persona 5, and FF15 should all be over 50 hours.

  • I just want to know a little more about what you actually do in the game, like the overall concept and really like the art style. Quite distinctive and colourful. It's certainly ambitious but that's a good thing, need more people like that in the industry!

  • From today's direct I would say Monolith Soft is pretty ambitious as well...

  • Yeah, that's shaping up nicely too. Had a look at the Japanese gameplay video and have to say the scale of the locations is certainly impressive. Creature designs are good too. The only thing I'm not keen on is the character models, kind of ugly looking and don't really appear as polished as everything else in the game. Still though should be a popular exclusive.

  • Xenoblade Chronicle's models could have used a little polishing, too. In both games you really don't see it while fighting or exploring during gameplay, but it looks kinda bad during cutscenes. I really like how organic the world looks. It doesn't look dead or dry, everything looks alive.
