I read it. She's very logical. Now to find the fallacy detective so I can start becoming a informed student.
03/11/2015 9:45 PM ·Spoilers
Once you've mastered basic logic, I'd recommend joining a debate club or discussion based class. Currently I'm enrolled in what is essentially a dialectic class—if your school does not have either, you might be able to find them as separate programs.

I'M FINALLY BACK! So first, I saw you asked what a relief is. Well, its where 1. I've been good and 2. Special circumstances. My grandparents were here so, I was allowed to watch movies all day. Oh, and I don't want to talk about why I was grounded, it's kind of personal. But the worst thing is, my dad, FACTORY RESET MY TABLET! Just to get my Google account off of it, and he just put it back on!
03/13/2015 6:18 PM ·Spoilers
Oh: I see. Yeah, I do not recommend putting personal information on Miiverse either. You should also read that essay too.
03/13/2015 8:46 PM ·Spoilers
Oh, ok! And debate club's gonna have to wait till next year, it's full.

Nope! I also might try Shulk instead of Palutana. Also, if I'm not home by 6, the movie I'm going to see also had shopping attached. I don't beleive there's any shopping planned though.
03/14/2015 5:49 PM ·Spoilers
I might be a teensy bit late, depends on how long it takes to get home.

Hello! I'm back from sleeping underneath a picnic table.( Wilderness Survival ;D)So... smash... Saturday 2:00?

Technically. I'm not very religious though. I don't really go to church.
03/20/2015 10:37 PM ·Spoilers
I'd say being religious is being someone who beleives that religion is very important thing and shouldn't be questioned, just beleived in and understood. I recognize the importance and messages in the Bible but think that the way the Bible's written can be interpreted many ways and therefore shouldn't inspire strict rules like the church and really religious people have. It's more open than that.
03/20/2015 11:32 PM ·Spoilers
Well, I'm a Christian, but it is not true at all that you should not question anything. (I question EVERYTHING, and that's why Christianity seems the most logical belief in the universe to me.) But what do you mean, "open to interpretation"? If it is totally open to interpretation, than it has no meaning whatsoever. If you told someone not to steal, you wouldn't interpret that any way.
03/21/2015 7:31 AM ·Spoilers
Im not very religious either. I just freaking deleted my reason so I'll make this short... I don't take being a Christian seriously. I participate in most activitys but rarely spread it. And I don't pray 4 times a day.(Like my overly-serious parents tell me to)
03/21/2015 5:00 PM ·Spoilers
Listen, we're not Muslims. The point of prayer in not to do it this many times a day or whatever. And if you don't take Christianity seriously, then it necessarily follows that nothing in the world should be taken seriously.
03/21/2015 5:01 PM ·Spoilers
Murder, Jihad, crime—these things won't matter outside of an objective belief in God.
03/21/2015 8:53 PM ·Spoilers
I feel like through school, learning about the Crusades and Rome's history with Christians and Rushdie when he went into hiding, etc, and because I don't go to church and haven't had CCD that religion in general has gotten a bad rap. You hear about horrible things extremests do and it makes religions seem bad, when they aren't. It's made my thoughts about religion more negative, and that's bad.
03/21/2015 10:27 PM ·Spoilers
Well, some religions are definitely extremist in and of themselves. But remember that you can't just point to mistaken versions of Christianity in the past and generalize that to the whole thing, because you can easily point to such sore thumbs all across every belief. You could just as easily point to Darwinians who have committed horrible atrocities, but that alone doesn't disprove evolution.
03/22/2015 3:37 PM ·Spoilers
Exactly. I try to not judge religion. Especially since I don't go to church or learn much about religion in general.
03/22/2015 10:10 PM ·Spoilers
That course of action, however, is unwise in the OPPOSITE direction. The way to correct judging religions by the wrong things is to start judging them by the right things, NOT by avoiding judgement altogether. If you make no judgements whatsoever, then you can't find if any of them have truth inside of them.
03/22/2015 10:16 PM ·Spoilers
And back to interpretation: you have made one of the most common incorrect and fatal suppositions that modern society tends to have about the Bible. You think that the Bible is a subjective* writing, that its interpretation is different for different people. But this is absolutely false. The important thing to remember about the Bible is that it is by far the most objective† writing in the world.
03/22/2015 10:18 PM ·Spoilers
*subjective: a truth that varies between person to person (e.g. the best flavor of ice cream) †objective: a universal truth that holds fast whether people like it or not (e.g. murder is wrong)
03/23/2015 9:41 PM ·Spoilers
I need to actually read the bible. I know it has some really important messages in it (treat your neighbor as you wish to be treated). I just hate how sometimes people used to use it and do use it to promote things like slavery. We learned about that during our civil war unit, and while it is a testimonial to the persuasiveness of people, it seems to go against what the Christian God stands for.
03/25/2015 7:12 PM ·Spoilers
Tess.. You just made a mistake...Treat your neighbor like yourself is NOT in the bible! Yep you just saw it... The golden rule is not in the Bible!

I dunno. Just checked this post again now. Weird how they didn't delete anything else on the post. And it isn't!?!?! ...My life is a lie. Jk, XD. Weird tho. It's still a good message.

I understand most of Miiverse's post policies, but the ban on politics and religion? EVERYTHING has to do with those things in some way. It's a violation of the first amendment!
03/27/2015 10:49 PM ·Spoilers
...to be honest, deleting anything is a violation of the first amendment, but in other countries, the speech may not be as free and deleting such things are allowed.

Heads up... I'm going to Florida next week... I'm not sure I'll be allowed to bring my wii u along so I probably won't be able to do smash. But I have a miiverse app and I'm allowed to bring my tablet, so I'll be able to do miiverse.

I hate the new Mario Partys. I think having everyone in the same car was a terrible idea. Since when do you not get your own pieces in a board game?
03/28/2015 11:09 PM ·Spoilers
Haven't played the new Mario parties. The only one I have is the DS one, and that's fun. Also, there's diffrent versions of miiverse? Since when?
03/29/2015 7:39 AM ·Spoilers
I agree with Luigi... but my dad said "If I get a new game, it needs to be one the entire family can play." I wanted to get the new Kirby game Wii U... but the entire family can't play it. So I was basicly forced to get Mario Party 10. And we already have Nintendo land! By the way, When I said "I got Mario Party 10!" I meant to have the angry face not the happy face so it was meant to be sarcastic
