Are the themes for the 3DS even worth it? I am interested in getting one for my "new" 3DS. Is the 2$ really worth it?

    To answer your question... If you think you'd enjoy seeing LOZ every time you open your 3DS, then heck yeah. Plus, there's an option where you can cycle them randomly every time you see the home menu.

    Yeah. Definitely don't buy a bunch, but two bucks isn't that bad to just costomize it!

    That's really up to you. Personally, I really enjoy the new tones, music, and look to the home screen. It was a healthy change after seeing the default since 2011, and was well worth the $2 for me. If you think this would appeal to you as well, then I say go for it. But if you don't really care that much for it, then pass.
