I do wish Nintendo did more for regions other than Japan and America. I live in America, so technically I don't have anything to complain about, but I do feel sorry for consumers in other parts of the world. There are some deadlines that are a bit more important such as the upcoming March MewTwo code deadline, the deadline to redeem software, the deadline for cashing coins for possibly 1-8 games a person, and the overall final platinum deadline The last thing Club Nintendo needs is to be offline for all of those things.
