    Although Hyrule Warriors is a spinoff game, it clearly states that there were multiple heros clad in green. But as Impa says, it is Link's reincarnated spirit.

    Spirit of the Hero is the only thing passed down, besides an unknown amount of experience from his past lives, but each Link is different, Case in Point, TP Link meets OoT Link without any time paradox going on.

    They are, that's why only SS Zelda gets Hylia's powers, all the others have basically no relation, in the original TLoZ you rescue a princess named Zelda, and in the direct sequel, you rescue ANOTHER Princess called Zelda
