I just found out that the Game Corner in Mauville no longer exists in this version of Ruby/Sapphire--you can see where it used to be on the west side of the city. That's too bad.

    If you played the GBA version of R/S, the game was open. However to play games there you have to get a coin case to store your coins to spend on either playing the games or prizes. Ah, good times...

    OK, I admit that I never spent much time there, and until I came across mention of the place in an online walkthrough while completing some post-game side quests, I barely even remembered there WAS a Game Corner in the first place. But still...sometimes remakes change things, and not always for the better. I'm not saying this is necessarily one of those times, but...

    Yeah, I was disappointed when I saw it closed, but hey there's not much we can do about it. I do suppose this decision is for the better.

    To finish my thought from the day before: In this case, the absence (or closing/removal) of the Game Corner happens to not be a big deal. But many times it can be a little weird to come across something in a remake that either isn't around anymore, or no longer looks/sounds quite the same as it did in the original version of the game.
