    I think I get it now. You actually want the shiny bulbasaur yourself. If you were to get a snivy instead you would trade it to that one person for the shiny bulbasaur. So in actuality, this is a ploy to get yourself a shiny bulbasaur.

    I only made that assumption based on your earlier posts claiming that your team needed a snivy or bulbasaur to be complete. The post right after has you mentioning how your trade failed with "someone" involving the same pokemon. Both hinted strongly that you were the intended recipient of the shiny pokemon. As a side note. A team does not need shiny pokemon.
