Time for a Pokemon theory! Theory: What is up with fish Pokemon? Well, let's take a dive into this mess. 1st, how does a remora evolve into an octopus? This wierd evolution may simply be based on the fact that both have suction cups, with the remora's on its head, and octo's on its arms. (more below)

    Basculin is most likely based upon the Cichlid, a fish notorius for battering other cichlids. (pronounced, Sick-i-lid) That explains red and blue nit liking each other. Luvdisc are actually most like a tang, that yellow fish in Nemo that likes bubbles.

    Now let's really dig deep. Stunfisk is actually a fish, no, not a bird. He appears to be based on a dab, a fish that lies in muk for prey, with its eyes on the same side of the head! Additionally, many fish CAN deliver electric jolts to their prey. Not only eels.

    Feebas probably has some Japanese origin behind it I wouldn't know. '^-^ but Milotic does appear to resemble an oarfish, a species of gigantic fish that live deep down with flowing, beautiful fins.

    Sharpedo is suprisingly based on the gross fact that when a shark get hurt, it will actually twist around and....eat....itself. I've said enough. You can actually see the scar where this happened. So when you evolve that little piranha, he bites his tail off. Piranhas will also turn cannibal, but not on themselves.
