    If they kept Mega Evolution and all other things from Generations IV-VI until after you beat the Elite Four, then it would have been fine. It just seems out of place to see them during the main quest of the game. I thought that Pokemon X/Y were a huge step down, but these games step down even further. At least Pokemon X/Y were completely new games instead of the wrecked remakes that are Or/As.

    Please, play the game before talking about it. There's no Groudon/Kyogre epic battle on the original Ruby/Saphire only on the Emerald version. But the thing is: it's not an emerald version remake! And the game WAS more or less like the originals. But if they were identical it would be boring .-.

    For me (sorry if I'm wrong) it sounds like you didn't play the original ruby/saphire (and gold/silver), only emerald. I usually accept different opinions but only if the arguments are valid. That "X/Y were the worst games ever only cause they are new" is not valid. You and a lot of other ppl just can't accept new games. But it's ok since most of pokefans can ^^

    I have played the original Pokemon Gold/Silver and even Crystal. I have played the original Ruby/Sapphire and even Emerald. I still have them. HeartGold and SoulSilver were remakes of Gold and Silver, YET they had things from Crystal added to them. I was expecting OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire to be remakes of Ruby and Sapphire, YET with things from Emerald added to them.

    I'm not against things that are new. I never said I didn't like Pokemon X/Y. I just think thy're the least greatest. They don't shine like the others do, and I dislike the more kid-friendly graphic style, but they were good games nonetheless.

    What I don't like is rebooting. Pokemon OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire basically says this: "All of the things that happened in the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald that you enjoyed so much when you were a kid never happened. Instead, the stupid stuff in these remakes happened."

    something similar happened to me, I've loved every PKMN game since the original Red/Blue versions, I think I'm one of the few pokefans that think that every Gen it passes the franchise is getting better, I love Gen V and VI as well as the others and I really enjoyed those games; my point here is that ORAS is the first PKMN that didn't really convinced me at all, I got it since it was released...

    but for some reason I never felt the same hype I felt for the others, there's something about it that I just dont like :( I think its a great game and I dont think it deserved that 7.5 - 'Too much water' review, still ORAS will always be my least favorite game of the franchise

    Same here. Even though I was born much later and never got into video games until I was a teenager, I still started with the original Pokemon Red on my Gameboy Advance. Ever since, I've gotten a game from every main series release, and I've always loved them. However, I can barely stand to play AlphaSapphire, and I think the reason why is because they are reboots instead of remakes.

    You know, I actually came back to the game to give it a second chance, but then I was introduced to the new character "Lissie". I imediatly closed my 3DS, fell to the floor, and started chanting "If I don't look at it, it won't hurt me!" over and over.

    Maybe the one and biggest complain I have about ORAS is that it has the exact same PKMN models and graphics than X&Y, even in the GameBoy era they changed the models when a new PKMN game was released in the same console (the Yellow and Crystal versions, for example, changed the models a little bit). I was hoping we could've received better graphics for the battle animations as well as the attacks.

    Yeah, while Pokemon Black/White were certainly not the greatest Pokemon games, I think that they were the best when it's comes to graphics and convenience. Honestly, I liked the Pokemon sprites better when they were 2D. Luckily, I chose Black version so I got to face Iris' father instead, but I ultimately still had to beat her in Black 2.

    I have White and Black2 versions, they are both great games, but please, why the heck did they made Iris a champion? T__T luckily B&W2 included the option to battle all past generations' gym leaders, I hope we could see that in a new PKMN game :]

    Why did you get Black 2? You should have gotten White 2 because it is the sequel to White and explains what happens to the other legendary Pokemon. It doesn't really matter, but the story would make more sense.

    If you read all of the comments before yours, you would see we are not haters. There is a difference between criticizing and hating. I don't hate any of the games I mentioned. I was just disappointed that OR/AS were reboots instead of remakes. It sounds like you were just trying to pick a fight where there was none to be had.
