    Nope! You put pokemon x/y in your ds and go to pokemon bank, deposit all the pokemon you want to transfer into pokemon bank, and save it. Then switch x/y out for OR/AS. Then you can take all the pokemon u deposited into the bank and put them into your boxes in OR/AS. I did this with my games, so i know it works. :)

    Your welcome! Its actually not too much work since there is a feature that lets you drag entire boxes instead of dragging each pokemon individually. I transfered all my pokemon in about 10 minutes or so.

    Ya, it needs to be renewed once a year. It costs 4.99. This is to help keep the pokemon bank servers maintained.
