    This pokemon is very very good and its the best legendary genie counter. Thanks to its ground typing it cant be paralyzed, With its ice typing it can damge them heavily! Using ice shard for a first attacking move. Using icicle spear for its main ice move. Using earthquake with STAB, makes its deadly! Protect is great to scout out moves too! This pokemon was used a lot in 2011 and 2012 at VGC.

    Wide guard nulifies earthquake, therefore being easily counteracted due to its low HP and DEF's. Ice shard does little to nothing, except against Garchomp & Landorus & Salamence, which is limited to these 3 only. Protect just makes it avoid my flash cannon for 1 turn. 1 turn... then it's on. Mamoswine is one of the last pokemon I would choose. Also, In the VGC, legendaries are banned.

    True, but I run a tailwind with suicune, and Mamoswine cannot prevent suicune in one turn without a critical hit. I can King's Shield for that turn while I set up tailwind, then next turn take you out. Focus sash would do the same thing basically, BUT, I run a weakness policy, so if it DID survive, almost anything would take it out (shadow ball) and shadow sneak will take it to or below half way.

    In my post i said mamoswine is the best counter for legendary genies, tornadus, landorus, and thundurus. They are wasnt banned in 2011, 2012 and now in 2015. Every pokemon have counters, including mamoswine. aegslash cant use flash cannon while using wide guard.

    Im sorry but i dont know how to run phione, also its ability isnt that great and it have a poor move pool... Its stats isnt that great either but i hope you can prove me wrong.

    Pokemon: Phione Item: Damp Rock/Leftovers Moves: Icy Wind, Scald, Dazzling Gleam, Rain Dance/U-Turn Finally came up with this and it works out pretty well, it's ability stops the will-o-wispers in their tracks, icy wind is mainly for doubles and can be replaced by ice beam :)
