    Ivs are otherwise known as individual values. Each stat has one. The highest number is 31 Ivs. Which means that stat is perfect. However, you cannot alter them. Each iv on a stat is permanent. Though hatching an egg with a parent of perfect ivs in all stats is easier to do. A ditto with 31 ivs in all 6 stats mean that its the best it can be.
