Whats so special about Contary Snivy, Servine, and Serpeior? [Other than it's a starter] I mean, Spinda has the same hidden ability.

    Right, but Spinda does not have a move that can take advantage of it. The best it has is super power, and it only adds power once and the move does not give stab. Serperior gets STAB and a +2 boost after every use.

    Serperior can abuse moves like leaf storm and gain huge stat boosts from it.

    Anything is opposite. For example.. Leaf Storm ⇒ Raises S.A. 2 stages Intimidate ⇒ Raises A. 1 stage Memento ⇒ Raises SP. + A. all the way So on and so forth. Spinda doesnt have a good movepool that can make it useful.

    The main reason HA Snivy and its evos so special is that it's been locked away for years and now it's finally legal to own one. With Spinda, we've always been able to get it with its hidden ability.

    @Maddie: You got Memento wrong. Memento lowers Attack and Sp.Atk down only two stages. Contrary in effect would raise to +2 Attack and Sp.Atk.
