    I've noticed that in order to be a great Trainer, both in the anime worlds and when playing the games, you have to be 3 things in equal measure: Scholar (so you'll know Pokémon, their types, and their powers), Tactician (so you'll know how to fight, and how to direct others to fight), and Friend (that one needs no explanation).
