  • what if you had to go real fast. you are late for something, so you have to get off the game, but now, you have to do extra stuff just so you can turn it off. that's why it's a step backwards. if it still had that save, then it'll be a step forward, because it would have given you more choices to save. but like this, it's making you do extra stuff just so you can save.

  • Like I said, there's a statue directly in front of you upon exiting the Clock Tower. There's no need to fly to one. There's no extra steps involved. Playing a song to save, versus going to a save point to save. I should also mention that there are more statues in the remake than in the original game (but not all can be warped to), so that there are actually MORE ways to save than originally.

    Yeahs1
  • you can't warp to all? i thought you could. okay, thanks for all of your help. man, the wait until next week is going to KILL ME!!!!!!!!

    Yeahs0
  • If you're in THAT much of a hurry, sleep mode exists. Otherwise, taking up to 30 seconds to save the game is not a big deal. Which, by the way, is about how long it took to save originally. In short, they took out one method of saving. But added several more save points as a result to balance it out. The fact that you can save before, for example, an event happening at a certain time...

  • ...is a HUGE step forward toward removing the tedium of failing said task, or not doing it as fast as you'd like, or whatever. All of the statues that were in the original game can be warped to. All of the new ones (they have a new name..."feather statues", I think?), cannot, but they are save points all the same.

  • i don'tlike sleep mode much. i mean i use it all of the time. but so many times, the battery dies in sleep mode, because i'm not paying as much attention to it as i should be. which, i understand is my fault. but still, because of that, i don't like to rely on it.

    Yeahs0
  • wait, i thought they took out all of the statues from mm64 and replaced them with those feather statues?

    Yeahs0
  • ...? The system takes so little energy in Sleep Mode, it would literally take days for it to die...

    Yeahs0
  • No, the Owl statues are still in the game, most of which are in the same location. The Feather Statues are an addition, not a replacement.

    Yeahs1
  • yeah, like i said, it's my fault it dies. (it does take a few days) oh, okay. i didn't know that. thanks sir.

    Yeahs0
  • I can confirm now that both things I said are correct.

    Played
  • oh, okay. thanks for checking sir. ^7^ so, how do you like the game and system so far?

    Yeahs0
  • I'm enjoying the game just fine. As for the system, I really like how much faster load times are. It probably takes a third of the time to get on Miiverse, for example. The c-stick is kinda weird at first, but once you get used to it, it's easy enough to use. The one complaint I have...is the stylus. I cannot find any comfortable way to hold it.

    Yeahs1

  • oh, that stinks. i actually have a bought stylus. because, usually, the one that comes with it, isn't that good. how's the improved 3d?

    Yeahs0
  • I haven't seen any ghosting yet, which is a plus. It doesn't hurt my eyes like the old 3D did, either. The face tracking works VERY well most of the time; the only instance I've noticed where it isn't so great is if you're in a dark environment, which makes sense considering how it works.

    Yeahs1

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!! is the brightness turned up? that's suppose to improve it for dark rooms.

    Yeahs0
  • Yes, it is.

    Yeahs1
    Played
  • oh, that stinks. how's the auto brightness? does it work well?

    Yeahs0
  • Honestly, I got annoyed with it after an hour or so. I just turned it off. I'm not saying the face-tracking is bad in the dark. Just not as quick as it is in brighter rooms.

    Yeahs1
    Played
  • oh, okay. i understand. i wouldn't be using it in a dark room anyway. so it wouldn't effect me much.

    Yeahs0
