So I went and got my Majora's Mask New 3DS that I pre-ordered, brought it home, got set up to do the transfer...and the New 3DS was defective. It would power up, but if I opened the screen up to the first "click", the system powered down. Ugh. Went to return, but of course no MM editions left, so best they could do was return my money. Had to find a New 3DS at a Target 30 miles away.

    Yeah, stinky. I grabbed the game today but decided to hold off on the new 3ds until after I have a computer to do the system transfer, likely after income tax refund. I had issues with my wii three years in the disc drive stopped working, but yeah besides that and a few dead lines on my gameboy screen, nintendo hardware has been pretty sound.

    You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you? Sorry, I had to. That's awful. I've never had a defective Nintendo product either but one of my Gamecube's is going and my Wii won't connect to Netflix or Youtube. Sorry for your loss. Did you end up with a black one?

    I did. And it's pretty fantastic. So much faster, and the 3D is better. Plus, I had the original model, so the upgrade to XL looks awesome as well. And 3D youtube videos!:O

    Klimb~ You weren't rolling with an XL!?!? Man, drawing on the originals is rugged. I almost went to the dark side and bought a Vita yesterday just because i don't have access to my PC and it has Rogue legacy on it.

    Hard to wait. Sounds good, I'd forgotten they used micro SD cards instead of normal now so a computer seems a must. I've heard there is a wireless transfer option but there are unanswered questions on that.

    @Jon Yeah. So now you can expect my art to be amazingly detailed. @Barry Wireless takes forever, I've heard, and I transferred 24 gigs. That took along enough via the PC method. Still, it's all over with, everything transferred corrrectly, and I am really enjoying it.

    One thing that sucks is when I transferred everything over, it worked perfectly except any DSiWare games I had on my system memory didn't transfer. I can redownload them, so I only lost my save data. And I wouldn't normally care that much but one of them was Photo Dojo and I had created fighters out of my kids a few years ago and now they're lost forever. :( They'll never be that young again.

    I don't have my 3Ds on me to check for sure, but under Settings and Data Management you can move DSiware games between System Memory and the SD card. You lose save data when you move them to the SD card though. There's a way to save Save Data using a computer, buy I've never tried.
