but the person that gives a boat ride isin't there(says to go to potion shop) and the witch/potion shop owner is in the forest and needs something

Behind the potion shop is a lost woods area. follow the monkey through it and you'll find a hag thats hurt. talk to her then leave the woods and head for the potion shop and tell the owner what happened. the rest is just reading what they say ingame.
