The biggest problem with AAA games these days is the gigantic budget they have (especially with marketing). Its so big that now piratically many games REQUIRE some form of DLC (Day 1 or whenever) in order to break even

  • Instead of doing that, they should lower their expectations for the game they're making & drop the budget + expected number of sales. This is not going to become the next hot thing, its not Call of Duty. Lightning won't strike twice when comes to the casual market, they already moved on to Mobile games.

  • The amount of money being spent on flashy commercials & trailers when almost nobody is going to care & forget about the 'super mega blockbuster robot fighter' game bein hyped up...geez

    Yeahs1
  • People are actually happy about short AAA games.... YOU'RE GOING TO PAY $60.00 FOR A 5 HOUR EXPERIENCE!? WITH A GAME THAT PROBABLY HAS NO ONLINE MULTIPLAYER OR REPLAY VALUE!!?

    Yeahs0
  • And they're actually defending clowns who are too new to the internet & think its a playground for bullies. Reality checks need to be mailed to their addresses & consumers should be pulling the strings instead of taking whats given to them

    Yeahs1
  • LOL! IGN said it themselves: "We love short AAA games." LET IT BURN! The Order-oh I'm sorry the Movie 1886 shouldn't be $60.00. It should be $10.00 or $15.00...

    Yeahs0
  • And people wonder why I have a bone to pick with Hollywood & being pessimistic for games these days in general...they think its wrong for me to not act like a cooperate slave & take what is given without any choices.

    Yeahs0
  • "You're just a hater man. Cinematic video games are the future. Same goes for DLC. I bought all of Evolve's DLC and DoA Season Pass. $60.00 for a short experience? YEAH, I'LL DEFINITELY BUY THAT! THIS WILL GET MY MONEY'S WORTH!"

    Yeahs0
  • More like "Get out grandpa & take off nostalgia goggles, nobody likes goofy, cartoony, & silly games anymore! You're just entitled HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE *melt*"

    Yeahs1
  • "Oh boy, I can't wait to play Gritty Darkness 4. It has guns, DLC, It's 3 hours long, and it looks like a movie. MAN LOOK AT THOSE GRAPHICS! THEY'RE SO REALISTIC! You can buy this for $60.00 bro! It's totally worth it."

    Yeahs0
  • "Super Mario Bros? That stuff is so garbage, my child could beat it in a minute! It doesn't even have blood or a good story, why would I play a game that doesn't spoonfeed me everything? I don't have time to play it all!!!"

    Yeahs1
  • "Super Mario Bros. 2: Lost Levels? Please, my kid can beat that in 10 minutes. Hell I can beat that in 2 minutes"

    Yeahs0
  • Then: "MGSV Ground Zeros is short? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" Now: "The Order 1886 is short? Oh, that's okay. We love short AAA games." You could say "But Josh, MGSVGZ was $30.00 or $40.00!" So? That's still overpriced. MGSVGZ should've been $15.00. The same goes for the Order...

    Yeahs0
  • It only gets worse from here on out...people are OK with the concept of DRM & take every word a cooperate jerk says as fact even though they should be treated like a politician: They don't care about you, they want to sell you some things & want your money

    Yeahs0
  • But I find it so hypocritical that people were against MGSVGZ for being short, but when it's the Order being short it's okay...

    Yeahs0
  • They're brainwashed by the big 3 to accept whatever is given to them because they have no choice & rarely anything worthwhile to convince them to stay...they're just tools for them. When a game that wasn't Sony exclusive is short, people bat an eye because its multiplat...when its exclusive however, its A-OK.

    Yeahs0
  • Unbelievable. IGN had a news story about Little Caesars Bacon-wrapped Pizza. Quality IGN coverage. Forget about WoW players raising $2 million to fight Ebola, nah that's not news worthy enough.... Pathetic....

    Yeahs0
  • To be frank, its time to stop going to sites like IGN because really, people should look & judge at the games themselves rather relying on a site that regularly has people fight over what score a game should get & doesn't discuss anything other than 'Company loses money' 'Company says stupid garbage'

    Yeahs0
