    Your wii u is done. My disc drive is broken as well....and you got the first batch of wii u's just like me, the wii also had an error like this...and my wii will only read wii sports....its like the drive degrades over time and eventually cant read shhip.

    To work around this son of a issue, i bought a 2tb extrnal hd...something you may want to consider.

    I wouldn't write it off completely. I got mine in the first wave too, it freezes and u need to switch it off at the wall sometimes but it's not completely busted. Try cleaning the disc before you play and don't button mash at the menus. Like I used to spam A really quickly to reach the online portion, and then sometimes it wouldn't load. Reconnecting the wifi to your Wii U might help too.

    Nintendo's warranty is either a year or two....electronics usually break down after 3-4....who knows they may help you just for customer service reasons....but idk about the cb, most likely they would only replace your disc drive and not the entire console.

    Mine is royally chucked....Won't read any discs at all so i just dl them to an xhd....your console isn't broken....but the disc drive is or will be....i think ninte donis using some weird semi violet laser that isn't the best quality manufacturing wise.
