One monster that Capcom didn't do well on is the 'Tigrex'. If you look closely at some of its attacks and moves, you can see that some of those moves were from the Nagacougar from HM3U. The Tigrex wings are closely identical to the Naga's wings and when it charges that is also close to the Naga charge.

Tigrex has actually been around longer than Nargacuga. Tigrex was introduced in Monster Hunter Freedom 2, while Nargacuga wasn't introduced until Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Also tons of monsters reuse animations from other monsters if you hadn't noticed already.

Nargacuga and Tigrex are far from the only case of animation recycling. Compare Yian Kut-Ku and Gypceros, or Gravios and Monoblos, or Plesioth and Cephadrome. And that's just 1st generation monsters alone. For a cross-game example, examine Kushala Daora's movements, and then Alatreon's. Or Fatalis's movements, then Dire Miralis's.
