Not only is Nintendo not releasing 64, Melee and Brawl with online but they ban users that mention that modified version of Brawl. Wow Nintendo you suck.

Those are the combined sales of the WiiU and 3DS versions of SSB4.

You're acting as if the Wii U hasn't gotten GameCube remakes before lol.

When did I say the WiiU does not get GC remakes? Care to quote me on that one? My point here is that there is not sufficient demand for a Melee remake nor is there any potential financial gain to be made from it that can't already be made on SSB4.

Because apparently it has to sell 9 million. Nintendo knows The Wind Waker wouldn't do that much yet that made it on Wii U anyway. Smash 4 is only getting attention because it's the only game Nintendo is supporting.

I didn't mean that it has to sell more than 9 million, I meant that it needs a demand number higher than that or at least equal to that to warrant a remake. WW is an entirely different case. It was the first Zelda release on the WiiU and had no competition from another Zelda installment already out on the WiiU.

You just said there were no Zelda games before The Wind Waker when Nintendo had 2 years to release Melee before Smash 4.

Was there a point on releasing a Melee remake before SSB4? The Zelda series is different from the Smash series. Their games don't have to leave a long lasting impact. People play them, finish them and move on. Such is not the case with the Smash series. Those are games that people stick with for years. Why then, would they release two Smash games in such short time period?

Any video game can have a lot of replay value if somebody really enjoys it (even if that wasn't the developers intention). Do me a favour and look at speed runs for Super Mario 64.

There's a difference between games that can be finished in a relatively short amount of time such as Mario and Zelda and games made for long term replay such as Mario Kart and SSB. You can release a new Zelda game two years after the previous installment an it works just fine. You can't however, release a Smash game one year and release another one two years later. It will just result either..

on both games not selling as well as they could have or one of the two overshadowing the other. Neither one is a good business decision. The Smash series just isn't meant to be released on such short time intervals.

Yep which is why they released Smash 64 on Wii VC (same generation as Brawl).

Which was not an HD remake but a mere port of the original N64 game that in no way could compete or take away attention from Brawl. Given that, would you be fine if they just released Melee as it was on the WiiU Virtual Console? Because that's the best it can get right now.

Have I not said multiple times how unlikely that is? If you can't accept that, then that's too bad.

Online is just a easier way to play with friends, or just playing with randoms if you want. Your point is invalid as they already have been overshadowing each other.

"sigh" Time to be blunt, an online Melee or any other past SSB game is beyond unlikely. It would require Nintendo to spend time, money and resources on a product that won't yield as much profit as SSB4. Not every SSB game has to be given online features, its just the way things are. This conversation can serve no purpose. Goodbye
