Lucina is the worst clone. She has identical moves and final Smash, as well as the least justification to not remain as an alt. Plus, she's from a series that ditches old characters and adds new ones every title.

She's the wost clone, not for being Lucina, but for being the last different from her counterpart in terms of moveset, and she had the least justification to not be an alternate costume.

I'm guessing you don't know the origins of the clones. All 3 were originally alternate costumes for Mario, Marth, and Pit, like Alph is to Olimar. But because of small things, Sakurai wanted to separate them. I do know the origins,but mentioning those makes this whole debate worthless,as it actually proves that they couldn't have had enough time to change them.Plus,Ganondorf is basically the worst clone.At least Lucina,Dr.Mario,and Dark Pit are clones of someone from their own franchise.Ganondorf is a clone of Captain Falcon... When I say clone, I mean full clones: Dr. Mario, Lucina, and Dark Pit, not the pseudo-clones (Falco, Toon Link, Ganondorf). How does that interview prove there wasn't enough time. I'm no programmer, but juding by the amount of people in the credits, making the clone trio seperate, considering they had the artwork and models already done, would take no longer than 2 or 3 days.

The model and artwork would take a week, but those should have already been done. Removing 4 costumes and replacing them with color swaps is not a long process. There was already likely a custom GUI that added a character where ever its random once the character is implemented, so no big work would have to be done their. Development started in early 2012. Let's say 3 months in. The game released in 9 months since 2014 started (september). That's about 130 weeks to work on the game. 0.77% (less than 1%) is 1 week of that.
