Interesting how the DKL3 version of the Mountain stage show that it's raining since the DKC3 version doesn't.

    @Samuel: The rain was spared in the Japanese GBC version (I know this because I own the cartridge). It looks nice too, because it's all blue! I have no idea why the world map animations were removed in the GBC version (or Bear's animation for that matter). I think that Rare simply screwed up when localizing the game to Japan. It wasn't due to a technical limitaiton or anything like that.
