    @Jonathan: Probably. People are insanely... "devoted" to her. Even after Palutena was announced, it seems like most STILL prefer Rosalina.

    Though Palutena came into existence lonh before Rosalina, her current self didn't debut until Brawl which was a year after Super Mario Galaxy did. That might be one of the reasons behind this.

    @Jonathan: I think her first impression in SMG is a huge contribution to her popularity. So many people were drawn in by her emotional past and mysterious personality. I guess it gradually snowballed as the years progressed.

    @Mario: Well, if those lonely Peach amiibos collecting dust on store shelves are a sign... To be fair, Peach DID have an abundance of amiibos produced. She was in production for several months. Rosalina was only in production for one month.

    If we go by Rosalina's storybook and her dialogue in Super Mario Galaxy, her minimum possible age is around 300.

    @Will: You're correct. Since the Mushroom Kingdom unknowingly celebrates her return every 100 years, I'd assume that she's actually much older than 300 years. She'd be required to return at least twice before the Toads realized exactly how long it took for the Comet Observatory to come back, and the Star Festival seems to be an event that's happened several times before.
