It's funny how easily IS could have given this game's plot much more depth... A shame, actually.

  • 1. Provide an explanation for the enemies acts, for once. Make them easier to sympathize with. 2. Nobles always are jerks. Add some stuff which makes them unpopular, making the shepherds seem like they are the only "nice" people in Ylisse having any influence. Simply put: Close the gap between "good" and "evil".

  • @Oliver The story is absolutely cartoony with the typical good/evil template which could never be used in real life. Also, I believe there must be an ulterior motive for the enemies acting the way they do.

  • @Oliver That doesn't mean it is perfect. It just sold off well, the story still is lacking.

  • The classic black/white-concept doesn't have to be bad in every case though. Sure there was a greater potential and developing the enemy characters further would have been better indeed, but I think keeping things simple worked rather well with Awakening. This is just an opinion though - I don't believe it to be anywhere near a neutral point of view. ;)

  • The basic plot isn't bad, but there is way too much room for improvement. *cough, cough* Shallow main characters *cough, cough*
