Is Mega Glalie even possible without items? I haven't used any up to this point and he's being a royal pain

  • No idea, but it's impressive that you got that far without any items. A lot of the game is luck-based anyway though, so it might be possible.

  • There is a YouTube video showing somebody who cleared the stage without any items. However, it's a C-rank run (0 moves remaining upon clear) and the puzzle area got reset once during the run. Essentially, the RNG is terrible on the stage. You'd definitely want items if you want to reliably S-rank the stage as simply having super effective Pokemon alone isn't enough.

  • You could powerlevel at Buneary.

  • This guy is THE WORST! I had to break down and use items.

  • You will probably have to use items to get past him. I recommend either Mega Start or Disruption Delay. Also, you're going to want to get ready for Mega Mewtwo Y after you get through Jungle Verde. He's the hardest I've encountered in the game so far.

Just farm coins at Meowth for a few days. A line of five coins nets you 530 coins with a victory, while a line of four nets you 300 coins. It takes a bit of practice, luck, and patience, but it's worth doing since so many of the later stages require money to breeze past.

Sorry, I forgot to mention Meowth is stage 37 at Isla Azul. The pros just stockpile until max money, so new stages aren't really a problem for them.

  • Thanks everyone for the tips. I've been leveling my pokemon and trying the stage every day. Determined to not buy items..
