    The longest running animated show is The Simpsons at 600+ episodes. Now the longest running ANIME is a show about a family in japan that has been running ever since the 1960's and is STILL running to this day! It currently has 5000+ episodes so far.

    @Zambeebwee: I believe the simpsons holds the record for longest show in multiple catagories. It's nuts that it's lasted for so long. Sesame street has lasted pretty long too. Are you talking about Doraemon? I can't believe it took so long for the states to get it. Many other countries have been airing it for years.

    The only fairly recent cartoon I still like is teen titans(the original show). That's not to say that I only like superheroes, it was just that good. Although I haven't seen many of the recent disney cartoons(I don't get disney channel anymore).

    Sadly, toon disney didn't exactly die, it became disney XD. I'm afraid boomerang is gonna end up going the same way toon disney did too. Oh, speaking of ducktales, I recently heard that disney is actually reviving it, although it's going to be a reboot!
