Bleak from DKC3 is back in this game! However, he's much, MUCH easier this time, to the point where he can be considered a joke. Just stand on the house on the right, and jump whenever he aims snowballs at you! Really, even when I first played this game, I found this boss to be very easy, and I was terrible at video games back then. Sigh... well, at least it gets harder from here.

    By the way, Bleak's snowballs and Karbine's fireballs share the same sprite. It's more obvious in the Japanese GBC version of this game, since they have that same washed-out purple palette.
