    Wear armor that's resistant to electric. It's weak to ice element. Shock traps won't work when it's in rage, but can be used when not.

    Monster Hunter Wiki I suppose. There's electric, water, ice, dragon, fire all of which can give you blight which either lowers defense or depletes health or stamina. There are status effects like paralyze, sleep, and poison which are self explanatory.

    That's probably the Slime element and comes specifically from Brachydios . If you get slime blighted, it will slowly build up until it explodes.
