So Pokemon is getting us "hooked" on the game and having us become persistent on playing it by giving it to us for free, but when we run out of Hearts, we still want to play more, so we spend actual money on Jewels to keep playing.

I actually use the heart limit to pace myself so I don't get burned out playing too long.
