I don't know if you will agree with me or not, but i want to share an idea. What about an open world(kinda) Monster Hunter game that you can play as Hunters, or get this, Monsters. Of course you will have to start as babys monsters first.(or if your a Velociprey, or something like that you will be full grown already.) You will grow over time.(more details in comments if you are interested.)

  • The growth in monsters will be slow, but not "real life" growth. Hunters cannot hunt you while your a juvenile, but other monsters can. So be careful when you are hunting prey, drinking, or even sleeping because you never know when another monster might eat you. The monsters will attack similar to theirselfs in this game, but they will move more "realisticly".

  • Anyways back to growth. Eating will make you grow faster, and full your "hunger"(also stamina). Drinking will restore some stamina(Eating fulls stamina more), and will full your "thirst". Sleeping makes you refreshed for the next day, but sleep leaves you vulnerable so sleep somewhere hidden(depends on what environment/area you are in.)

  • Now when you reach adulthood in your monster it can be problematic at times. You will have competition from other monsters, and you can be hunted by Hunters. There will be a "pest" bar, "supplies" bar, and "capture" bar on the side of the screen. The pest bar is when your cause to much trouble for villages(like attacking delivery wagons etc.), and they want you dead.(continued)

  • the supply bar is when your monster species parts are needed for something, and you need to lay low for some time when that happens. The capture bar is when somebody needs your monster captured for something. When that happens change areas, and stay away from villages. Also there will be warning for Deviljhos. When one(or more) is in your area there will be a icon that looks like(continued)

  • ..Deviljho on your screen. Moving on to "hearing",and "smell". The hearing ability is when you can hear noises from a certain distance. A blue arrow will appear to direct you towards the area where the noise was. It will slowly turn red as you get closer. The smell ability is where your can smell things.(has the same effect as hearing except/depending on the monster/it can sense things(continued)

  • ...that a farther away.) The next thing is status effects like poison. They all work like in the regular Monster Hunter games(heat can only work on some monsters), but somr monsters can be immun to poison or paralysis(unless its a shock trap). Well thats about it, and being a Hunter will work like this game except more "dynamic".

  • Sounds like a solid idea to me. I would much rather be a dragon or many other types of monsters than a hunter.

  • haha yes what he said i love dragons <: but it would be a outrageously hard game
