This is one reason why I like the Game Boy Color version of this game better. Without color, Kuchukas look exactly the same as Knockas! So it's easy to confuse the two. The first time that I played this game, I thought this enemy was a Knocka... so I jumped, only to get hit by one of its bombs! That was frustrating. In the GBC version, as well as DKC3, Kuchukas and Knockas are easy to tell apart!

  • A few years ago, back in 2012, I went to a store which sells used video games (close to where I live), and I found a Japanese cartridge for a low price. Though I've played the Japanese version even before that happened...

  • Wow, this post is old! But anyway... I assume that you're referring to the map animations and Bear. Yeah, I have no clue why Rare removed these things in the GBC version. There's no technical reason why Rare needed to do that. Rare is weird sometimes!
