    They could give gifts. You can also have an amiibo fight other amiibos as well.

    Not sure really. Maybe if you take it to a friend's game and have some matches with it, that amiibo will collect gifts that can be collected once you get back. But I don't have a Wii U, so take it with a grain of salt...
