    um, No! you must donate 20 items to the museum(At least one of each item tho. yes the stupid paintings. like, you can have 17 fish, 1 bug, 1 painting,and 1Fossil if you want. ) and talk to blathers everyday intill you can get the second floor renevation. then you have to have atleast 50 items and talk to blathers every day again. this time, he will talk about opening the roost as a project.
