  • ROFL Zach, I always discard whichever item I receive at that point in N64 Rainbow Road, and yes, I always throw it in front of me because (get this!) *I'm trying to bring down the racers who are ahead*—again, how is this a difficult concept to comprehend?—and I don't remember winning Bowser's Castle. #storyofmylife!!

  • Blazn☆, he was in second place while the one racer, who was constantly winning those races, was sitting happily in first. Thanks for your message.

  • asgdhhgfv Blitz. The entire point is kind of defeated if you also run into it yourself... unless the point was to make it hilarious, which you did so spectacularly. And don't think I'm really mad at all of this. I passed Myron later. Yes Blitz, you did win that BC race. Go check your recent reels and see our showdown at that last bend!

  • Lastly, I wouldn't say I stormed off. I just had a fresh thought on my mind that I wanted to express right then & there. Okay, maybe I stormed off a little, but please don't tell Sargey that he brings me to tears sometimes. I can't let that big oaf know that he gets into my head! (Just kidding, just kidding, Sargey-pants is the O.G. frienemy—nobody can replace him!)

  • Oh, the whole thing about discarding items in front of you is that you accept possibly running into those items too. Tossing items behind you though? That's a coward's strategy. Bwahaha!

  • Excuse me! No it's not!

  • The caveat is that you actually have to be in first place, Blazn☆. Of course you wouldn't throw items ahead of you if you're leading the pack.

  • It's called common sense.

  • common sense would be to protect your positioning so tossing items back is valid. Also common sense would be to watch your surroundings and avoid and dodge items. Common sense!

  • Okay, I mean, I already explained how these were two different strategies, so we're back to square one & officially going around in circles. I don't know what more can be said, so thanks for your message. I'm hopping back onto Mario Kart 8 now & gonna eat my bagel!

  • I have a counterargument to most cases. Most back thrown items are done so out of fear. Another person is likely to take the place of the one you just hit, and has the exact same chances of getting something to threaten you. ...I'm going to have to upload that Bowser's Castle race, aren't I?

  • YES. I don't understand how folks don't see this angle. If you're going to rid yourself of an item, effectively placing yourself in a vulnerable position, why would you waste that item on someone behind you when the person behind *him/her* has an arguably stronger item?! Keep the order & bring down those in front of you. This is not rocket science! Good heavens.

  • Have you SEEN how far ahead he was? I ain't gonna disrespect my items by not sating their bloodlust! They were NOT going to touch that annoying bugger, so they get repurposed!

  • None of this would have happened if players had just attacked him as they're supposed to! That's all I'm saying! And he wasn't THAT far ahead. Hmph.
