    Should be able to. Bomb casings are made by using sap plants and iron ore, or sap plants and stones.

    The best way to break the Nerscyllas spikes, with any melee weapon actually, is to mount it since the damage you inflict while mounted on it is dealt to it's spikes. It should take 3 mounts to break them.
