I've been using the charge blade a lil bit now and I did something to the shield that made it glow red, is it bad or is it good? If its good how do I do it when I want to?

    I am a professional charge blade user, No, your shield and sword glowing red only indicates your weapon is almost out of power so once it does run out you will have to charge it again.

    During a charged attack you have to press X-A to charge your shield (it's good) this strengthens your shield and if you charge your blade again your super combo will then end with a Wave of explosions cool right :D

    Glowing red is good. Glowing yellow is good also, but yellow means your shield's charge is almost run out. Fill your phials, then 'wind up' as if you're going to do the big elemental discharge attack, but hold down R to cancel that attack and the phials' power will be transferred to your shield, resulting in a temporary attack bonus

    If it says charge in the left hand corner of the screen then thats sonething different and you need to charge your blade or you'll bounce, but what's I was talking about is when yoir shield blinks red and there's a shield icon in the corner

    I believe when your charge blade shield glows red, it has the blocking power of a lance shield! Less knock back and stamina depleted.
